Utopia: A place of ideal perfection in law, government, and social conditions. This painting in this exhibition at the Five Myles Gallery, 558 St. Johns Place in Brooklyn, from Oct. 30th through November 3, 2008 from 1:00-6:00 P.M.(Telephone: 718-783-4438 to coincide with the Presidential election, titled: “God Lamenting the Death of his Son” having no historical reference, it depicts a God that is “White” holding his son Jesus being “Black” on his lap, just like the “Pieta”, hence lamenting his death. This painting has the overtone of Barack Obama’s white mother, and his black father. His idea of “Change” is idealistic, therefore Obama believes in a utopia for America.
